Dana Elaine Owens, better than Queen Latifah the United States is an actress and rapper. in film, music and television, Queen Latifah has received 2 Screen Actors Guild Awards (two Image Awards), a Grammy Award and six additional Grammy nods and has been nominated for an Emmy Award. Queen Latifah's parents were Lancelot as well as Rita Owens. Both were police officers. Rita was a Newark New Jersey teacher who taught at Irvington High School.
