April Ross

April Ross was one of only a few women beach volleyball players who have won medals in multiple Olympics. Alix Klineman, taking part for the very first time at Tokyo's Olympic Games and will attempt to win her third medal. Ross is hoping to secure her Olympic the first medal of gold, however, she also hopes for even more. Since she's 39 years old she could have her last chance. The athlete is optimistic she will be able to win top awards. Ross said on NBC Boston that if they are at their absolute best or play a great game, she believes the team will be able to win the gold medal. Additionally, I'm going to rely on a bit of luck. Ross born the 22, 1982, at Costa Mesa California. She lived there along with her entire family. Ross went on to play in a myriad of sports in Newport Harbor High School. She was a basketball player and also ran track in addition to her indoor volleyball achievements in her time as a college athlete. She was definitely the best player in indoor volleyball. As a time at the high school level as per her college bio, she was an outside-hitter, middle-blocker and setter. As a tribute to her efforts, she received the Gatorade Award for National Player in 1999. In 2000, she was named Orange County Athlete of the Year for volleyball. Ross Klineman and Ross may have started working together in 2017, but Ross had already been a seasoned athlete at the beach prior to when they teamed up. In reality, she was a winner of several major championships while playing in the past with two different partners. one of which is a volleyball icon. Jennifer Kessy was her partner for six years, from 2007 to the year 2013. She also worked with Klineman as well as herself. Together together with Kessy Ross was awarded the World Championship in 2009 when she competed on the international circuit. At the 2012 Olympic Games, they received a gold medal. They were beaten out for the gold by the legendary team of Misty May-Treanor and Kerri Walsh (Jennings). Ross Jennings replaced May-Treanor when she announced her retirement. They both won bronze in beach volleyball at the Rio Olympics of 2016. Ross began her college career with the USC Trojans following her high school days. It was a long time before Ross hit the beach, and then became a pro. Her experience at USC was awe-inspiring. In 2000 she was voted Pac-10 Freshman as well as NCAA Freshman of the Year. She was also named an All-American. The Trojans were also able to make it to the Final Four with her help. She endured a great personal loss in her sophomore, but was still able to achieve the All-American award. Through her final two seasons with the Trojans they helped achieve consecutive championships. Her individual achievements have cemented her status as a legend in volleyball. Ross was awarded the Honda Sports Award 2003-04 for the top female NCAA player. Ross was an USC international relations major, was a volleyball star. Margie Ross never saw her daughter achieve the heights of beach volleyball. In 2001 when Ross was a sophomore at USC her mother died of breast cancer. However, she keeps her parent close to his heart. Margie is a beach lover as well as in everyday life, inspires her.
